Lt Col Gordon

You may be aware of this, but while working on Moore at the British Library, I have come across some papers of Lieutenant Colonel Gordon, who was Military Secretary at Horse Guards and then was in the Peninsula with Wellington. [These are British Library, Additional Mss numbers 49471 to 49517, some being divided further into A, B, etc - a total of 57 'pieces'].

The piece which I thought might be of interest to this forum was Add Mss 49473, which includes some reports by Gordon of his time in the Peninsula. I didn't have time to take any notes on these, but they are quite extensive.
