A military bivouac of 200 people will be installed in the English garden.

Review of the troops in the Cour d’Honneur, Saturday and Sunday, at noon, by the Emperor.

Military manoeuvres (soldier’s school, platoon school, battalion school)…

Cultural mediators will be available to explain to visitors who wish to learn more about court life during the First Empire.

Workshops for children entitled “Apprentice Strategists”, imagined and animated by a lecturer from the Musée des Plans-reliefs (Hôtel National des Invalides), will take place during the weekend. It is a game, based on one of the great military successes of Napoleon’s youth: the siege of Toulon. The activity will be based on the relief-plan of Toulon, which commemorates the victory that enabled Bonaparte’s troops to take back the city from the British. The children will play the role of the attackers, alongside Napoleon, in this military strategy game. (for 8-12 years old, bookings)

The events proposed inside the chateau are accessible on presentation of the museum entrance ticket. Access to the bivouac is 4 €.
