The "Chestnut Troop": Since When?

I am trying to track down a bit of loose history related to Britain’s Royal Horse Artillery.

Has anyone encountered a contemporary, or other reasonably reliable, description of Wellington having identified Troop A, at Waterloo, as the “Chestnut Troop”?

I have the same question about reliable, preferably contemporary, evidence for the troop having been horsed with chestnuts as early as 1799 (or earlier still)?

I’d be grateful for any substantive leads about the time-frame or manner in which the troop acquired this appellation!

Appreciatively - Howie
