Re: Saint-Cyriens.
In Response To: Sanit-Cyriens ()

Are the 'Sanit-Cyriens' the graduates of the French Sanitation Engineer School? <;^}

Perhaps:

École Spéciale Militaire (ESM) at Fontainebleau from 1802 (first students in 1803), then at Saint-Cyr-l'École (Yvelines) in 1808.

The School Web Site does NOT provide a listing of cadets, but it does provide the number of cadets entering, by year, as well as the number of those subsequently "morts pour la France".

http://www.saint-cyr.org/cyr-3000.php

I provide the numbers for 1803-1815 (number entering/morts):

1803 192/23
1804 239/28
1805 398/47
1806 441/97
1807 603/53
1808 213/52
1809 482/49
1810 251/46
1811 298/30
1812 454/75
1813 462/77
1814 205/10
1815 99/0

I note that in 1805 the entering class was to be 250 students for the two year course.

I know of no listing of all cadets - there are almost 67 thousand. The various yearly issues of the Almanachs imperial only list the staff.
