Realizing that I had not actually read much about the applicatin of France's military law (in the way that reference to Britain's "Articles of War" often arises somewhere in an examination or memoir of the British army), I turned with curiosity to Elting's "Swords Around a Throne". It is with some surprise that I couldn't readily unearth a reference to at least the name of France's equivalent to the "Articles", which contained French military law, particularly in the chapter entitled, "Discipline and Disciplinary Units".

Please, what was the French military code called? Is it reproduced anywhere on-line?
