But Austria invaded Bavaria twice-in 1805 and 1809, both of which failed spectacularly, and there was the attempted Austrian encroachment against Bavaria in the so-called War of the Bavarian Succession when she attempted to take over Bavaria and was stopped by the Prussians and the Saxons.
