Well thats me out of my chair! The picture is an odd one looking like an adaptation of a Eugene Lami print of French cavalry 1820 . This tight little group can be seen in the Brown Collection - enter Lami. It is odd as the Lancers would appear to be the 7/8 French Lancers of the Napoleonic period together with indeterminate Hussars
