Hi, I’ve got a question about the Orders of battle of the Grande Armée during the 1812 campaign.

I’ve compared the OB’s from George Nafziger’s Napoleon’s ‘Invasion of Russia’ and Digby Smith’s ‘Armies of 1812’.

There is a problem there. Nafziger’s strengths for Oudinot’s II Corps for August the 1st are the same as Smith’s numbers for II Corps for June the 1st. That can’t be right. How can I ascertain who’s made a mistake there? Ergo: is there a decent primary source for this?

In Smith’s book he states that he got his numbers form Fabry’s Campagne de Russie, but I can’t find these figures anywhere in the volumes I could find online. Could anyone help me out here? Thanks!
