Thanks, Ron. I should have consulted the regs, and I appreciate you doing it for me! I'm trying to imagine the occasions those rules would have had real meaning; regulars would not often operated with regulars.
I'm thinking primarily of Ireland and the Americas. Of course the FIW, er, sorry, the 7YW, and the AWI were notorious for some hard feelings on that issue, but Ireland would have been a real quagmire of Regulars, Militia, Yeomanry, and the odd mob of Ascendency Volunteers.
