I am reading, in a history of the Swiss in Russia in 1812, up at Polotzk, that when Gouvion-St-Cyr surrendered command of the II and VI Corps in October 1812, that Legrand refused to take over `in fury`.
The entry in Six states that L did assume command, but two sources state that Wrede took command.
