I so agree with you, Anthony! Chandler was my "Napoleonic primer" back in 1966 when it was all so new to me. But by the time I was doing serious research from 1990 forward, secondary sources, no matter by whom, were simply an afterthought, or amusing to cite in order to argue with a premise of two.
