In the Andrew, the last issue (known as "Black Tot Day") was 31 July 1970 - a day of mourning among the men in my mother's family. The last issue in the Royal Canadian Navy was 1972, and 1990 for the Royal New Zealand Navy. Hard to believe though it may be, the Royal Australian Navy never issued it aboard RAN vessels, but Aussies serving in RN vessels were entitled to receive it.
