Anno 1790
Starting on the morning of 10/26 the US digital channel MHz will be rerunning the Swedish mystery series "Anno 1790." For those who don't have this channel, you can sign up for a month of free streaming.
Abstract: The Age of Enlightenment, year 1790: After returning from the battlefields of the brutal and bloody war in Finland, Swedish army surgeon Johan Gustav Dåådh (pronounced “Dode”) finds himself reluctantly taking on the job as district police commissioner in Stockholm. Dåådh joins the Stockholm police, in an attempt to change, or at least improve, the system from within. He is a modern thinker in an old hierarchy. Torn between alliances, he solves crimes among rich and poor.

If you sign up for streaming, try to watch "Heavy Water War," a series about the Norwegian commandos destruction of heavy water production. One of the best WWII television productions I've seen.
