Jacqueline, Tom, & Gary

Thanks!

The reason why I asked is because I just read Napier's passage on the River Coa and then read Sergeant Thomas Garrity's Memoirs of a Sergeant Late in the Forty-third Light Infantry Regiment previous to and during the Peninsular War and the two books were very similar, to the point there numerous passages that were the same. Although I was fairly certain that Garrity used Napier, I was not 100% sure. So I wanted to see whose book was published first. Napier's account was published in 1831 and Garrity's in 1835.
