In this number there is an even more detailed look about the colour of the greandiers à pied of 1800 p. 11 - 16, nothing spectacular new - about 1st versus second battalion a new hypothesis based on Brunon is put forward, but as Rigo states - it is speculation.

In case looking at Portrelle, the collar is already shown in dark blue - whereas at Marengo it was red, the blue collar was only introduced in 1801 along with the red lining of the coat tails - so Portrelle is showing definitely 1801 and not 1800.
