Hi guys! Could anyone help me with primary sources on the British army establishment during Napoleonic times ?(if you can help me with pre-Napoleon and past-, it would be great)
I'm doing some research here in Russia, and I need to know exact numbers of how many soldiers in infantry/cavalry/artillery War Office and Parlament decided would enough for protection of the King and Country. I have Burnam&McGuigan's "British Army against Napoleon. Facts, Lists..." and looked up some numbers in Fortesque's "History..." but I'm looking for primary sources, like published Parlaments paper, multi-volumed "A collection of the public general statutes, passed in...".
Or can I find it directly in WO documents/ Parlament papers via remote access to their archives? I know Parlament digitalized its archive, and my State Libraries in Moscow or St.Petersburg must have access to it.
I beg your pardon for my poor English, not much spelling practise I have(
