Freda, I am sorry to hear about your injury.

I enjoy audio books, and would certainly listen to more if I spent more time commuting, or doing things that could be done at the same time as listening to them - as it is, I struggle to get through the (mostly news and current affairs) podcasts that I subscribe to.

I would be delighted and flattered if anyone wanted to make an audio version of any of my books, although I believe that this - like translations and e-books - is something that would be handled by the publisher or agent, depending on who has those particular rights. Certainly I would not attempt to record it myself - I know people who can read well aloud, and I'm not one of them!

I was surprised to see that there are audio versions of Oman's History of the Peninsular War - I do think that that is splendid and wish the narrator every success.
