I have recently been writing about this monument having visited and photographed it last year. My current project doesn't require this level of detail but many thanks for posting this, which I am looking forward to reading. After seeing the tomb in real life, I must say that it is a fitting tribute to the Empress Josephine.

I also saw a fantastic statue of the Empress last year in the park nearby, which is well worth a look for anyone who visits Malmaison and the town of Rueil Malmaison in the near future.
