I was in Rome on a date when access to the Vatican was free. I spent several hours in the line waiting to save a few euros. In hindsight it was very poor use of time on a short trip to Europe. I’m not sure if the site Is covered by the museum pass offered in Paris. If it is I would strongly suggest purchasing the museum past. When I went to the Louvre, I was able to bypass a long line that wrapped around the Louvre and out onto the street and into the Louvre in a few minutes, This site may be covered by the museum pass offered in Paris. A Free pass into sites is only valuable to those who have unlimited time to spend waiting in line.
