Re: Scope for a major study of women in the Penins

These are lists written in July 1814, around the area of Vitoria, mainly from brigade commanders, concerning both women and men, all non military, who were at that time with the Portuguese Army of Operations. It's not only about those people who where with the Portuguese units throughout the war, as well as women who were with the British Army (no indication of which regiments or divisions), all of them coming back to Portugal after the end of the Peninsular War.

This fits nicely to a statistical study, because it's homogenous in time and place.
I was also thinking of working the non military men, with the extra information of their ocupations in the army (servants, scribes, baggage personnel, etc.), but I must prioratize. I can say that most of them are way under 20 years old.
