Re: Were any Forsyth percussion pistols carried?

That is an interesting looking specimen; it looks very rugged, a very "militarized" look when compared with the only other image I have seen of a Forsyth firearm. That was 50 years ago; IIRC it was a Fawcett Publications paperback book on historic firearms. I seem to recall that the speciment there shown had a more elegant look to it, having a style more in keeping with a "gentlemans" pistol.

Is there any other information available on the West Point specimen?
