Re: Perpignan `Hospital`
In Response To: Perpignan `Hospital` ()

Sorry, Digby, can't help there, but one has to recall that there were always decent and 'bad' hospitals - eg, in the Iberian theatres, Celorico vvs Coimbra. French medical provision was as patchy as the Allied. McGrigor's great strength was his inspections and returns in the Peninsula. He really shone at raising morale, efficient service provision, examinations, up to date knowledge of the state of health of the army and, most of all, using his Commanding Officer to obtain the best, in concert with changing campaign requirements, for his patients.
