The book is interesting (Sertorius was a fascinating figure, though its hard to judge how brilliant of a general he was; however contemporaries ranked him high) and Matyszak is generally a readable author with an easy style. On the downside very little writing on Sertorius and his campaigns survived, so a lot is necessarily either missing or conjecture.
