George D. Wilson, Captain, later Colonel, of the 4th was awarded a "small Gold Medal for Badajoz" (Public Record Office, Kew, WO 100/16, 76).Colonel Wilson's medals are today carefully preserved at the King's Own Regimental Museum at Lancaster, however, the "small Gold Medal" is not there. Does anyone know where it could be?
Apparently the family does not have it.
