Re: Col. George Wilson's Gold metal?

Thanks very much Steven. However, I think the Colonel Wilson [Colonel George Davis Willson or Wilson (1782-1863)] I am referring may be is a different fellow than the one you have found.

The Col. George Davis Wilson I am looking for was also awarded other metals which are kept by the King's Own Regimental Museum at Lancaster. These are
1) KO 0902/01 - his Military General Service Medal, with bars for Corunna, Fuentes d'Onor, Salamanca, Pyrenees, Nivelle, and Nive, awarded to G.B. Willson, C.B., Captain, 4th Foot.
2) KO 0902/02 and 3) KO 0902/03 - his two Waterloo Medals awarded to Captain G.D. Wilson, 1st Battalion, 4th Foot. They came to the Museum in 1959.
4) KO 1873 - the neck badge of his Companion of the Order of the Bath (Burke 1858). This joined the others in 1991.
However, the gold metal he was awarded is not seen there and its present location not yet discovered.
Is it possible that this is the same fellow that you found, Steven? Any clues would be appreciated.
