From the bibliography--and I copied it exactly as it appears:
Bourreinne,Louis Antione Fauvelet. Memoirs of Napoleon
Bonaparte. 1, R.W. Phipps. New York: Charles Scribners'
sons, 1895.
I have never read anything so utterly awful on so many levels in decades. Misspellings, bad grammar, incorrect punctuation, all mistakes a high school junior in a decent school would not make; amazingly blatant historical errors that are cringe-worthy; and inane historical reasoning from first to last.
While I blame this alleged student for producing a thesis suitable for the bottom of a birdcage, I place more blame on the alleged professors who read and approved this Hot Mess.
But thanks to Tom for providing today's dose of comedy.
