Who made West Point an authority on Great Captains?
Most general survey courses in military history (like the one taught at West Point) are selective. They have to be.
If you want a course on Great Captains, then develop one. But don't complain that West Point "snubbed" a number of great leaders.
The intent of the West Point course is to inspire cadets to read and study the art of war broadly, and to teach them good historical skills that they can use throughout their lives.
Take care and God bless!
