There was a panel discussion at a Napoleonic conference in 1995 in Florida where the 'possibility' of Napoleon being poisoned/assassinated took place. One theory postulated was that his wine stock was poisoned and eventually killed him. Col Elting, who was in the audience, not on the panel, made the comment that if that were true others who may have drunk the wine would have been dying also. That comment tended to disrupt the panel's 'logic.'
