I never pay much attention to social media posts in terms of quality because of their informality and immediacy. But you are perfectly correct that when someone reviews a book, whether on a blog or other on-line media, one is not immune to criticism for one's opinions or, as in this case, criticism of an appalling misuse of basic English.
