In a regiment, does anyone know which company/battalion carried which flags?

Rawkins says 1st Co/1st Bn carries a liffana. This is straightforward, and a common arrangement.

However, he then goes on to say " ... and 3 kompaniefana, one for the 1st Bn, and 2 for the 2nd Bn".

I can understand a flag for each company, but that doesn't seem to be what is being said. Can anyone unravel this?
