Thank you both pictures, the earlier painting is clearly grey facings with silver lace. The later one appears more green than grey, but I would still say silver lace [compared to the mountings of his sword]. Some details of his uniform look a little strange to me, the cut of his collar and chest turn backs, button positions in the lace look odd as do the tops of his boots. His face is very well painted so I think more attention was given to that than his uniform.
