I am continuing my interest in the Dutch at Linselles in 1793. At the moment I am particularly interested in the Van Breydenbach and Van Plettenberg Grenadier battalions. I have been reading your article on the Dutch Army of 1793/4 on the Napoleon Series. From what I have read my assumption is that the 36 infantry regiments had 2 grenadier companies each, for a total of 72 companies divided amongst the 9 grenadier battalions, at 8 companies each. Is this correct and if so which regiments' grenadiers made up the Van Breydenbach and Van Plettenberg Grenadier battalions?
Any help would be most appreciated
