My interest in Shee is that I am completing a biography of Pulteney Malcolm, and I am looking for more details of his "interaction" with Shee and his wife. Rory Muir's follow-up is correct, and in fact Mrs Shee went on to remarry and ended up back in Canada where she had been born.

Details of Selina Shee's (née St Charles) origins and earlier history are hard to come by. Would John Shee's marriage to her at the Cape in late 1796 have been recorded in the records of the 33rd, and if so where might I find the relevant material in the National Archives? While I have considerable information on Malcolm and his lengthy career, I would appreciate learning if there are relevant unpublished letters (beyond those in the National Library of Scotland) or published memoirs in which he is mentioned.
