Some members here were once members of the Napoleonic and Victorian Wars Forums, lamentably I have just learned that due to the serious turn one disagreement occasioned the administrator took the decision to shut both forums down. I was last active about a month ago, but regret that the many good people I would regularly correspond with are now severed from contact. My user name was Josh&Historyland, and should any of you be here, I thought I’d spread the word and voice my disappointment, I especially enjoyed using the NWF.

I echo the dismay expressed here, not least because of the valuabe information, images and fertile discussions archived on both sites that I fear may have been lost. Both sites were my gateway into study of their respective areas and in ten years I have learned an immeasurable amount from other members.

It seems the owner was having to deal with a number of challenges and the problems arising from both VWF & NWF was one straw too many. Very sad.
