Does anyone know if, from where he was positioned at this stage of the battle, Wellington would have been able to see his cavalry reach the top of the heights held by the French? Did he witness the counter-attack on them, or did it just become obvious when only about half straggled back with blown horses?

I will be visiting the battlefield in due time but it would be useful to know how much he and his staff officers would have seen of this with their own eyes.
