Re: Prussian reaction 1806->Ortelsburg Publikandum

Another consequence was the king's "Ortelsburger Publicandum" (Ortelsburg is a small city in East Prussia), 1st December 1806. The most important regulations were:

.) Announcement of punishement for officers, which surrenderd fortresses, deserted etc.
.) Shooting of generals, fortress governors etc. which surrender (without reason) in the future
.) Dissolution of regiments which badly behave
.) Officers have to collect all soldiers which flee from a combat
.) Surgeons have to stay with their units
.) The baggage trains have to be supervised by some officers
.) Military requisitions are allowed
.) Men of rank and file can be promoted to officers during war time
.) Pensions for widows
.) Disciplinary measures
.) Death penalty for citizens ("Landeskinder) which go over to the enemy
