I wonder if there were no structural changes to the army itself, maybe changing the structure of the battalions/ squadrons or reconsidering the use of the battalion guns.
The battalions guns didn't seem to have had a good supporting effect for the army, were they maybe mothballed or collected in batteries?
AFAIk the Fusilier bat. left the battalion guns behind before the 1806 campaign, did they get them back?
