True but he is very concise and clear and has usually good maps as well. I concur with one of my favourite author Stéphane Béraud : Une vulgarisation récente de qualité.

As far as I am aware of Lettow - Vorbeck is not available in an English or French translation, as well as one of the key author's in Germany - Jany.
