Re: Book on 1806-07 Campaign - German historians?

Dear Thomas
All the German historians make much of the decay of the state. The indecision of the king etc... I have not read lists o excuses. What I have not read is a good desciption of Napoleon's ignorance of logistics. He still had much to learn. The imbalance in my opinion comes from French and other writers believing Napoleon's proclamations.

Alas the book is yet to be published in Europe so I cannot fully comment upon this. Again what is put out as publicity to be controversial would have little to do with the book.
