I was quite intrigued by this quotation when I first read it as it is quite profound and Junot is mainly known as a fighting man, womaniser and occasional hellraiser. Apparently he was well educated but rarely made use of his intellectual gifts and his more violent exploits have, unsurprisingly, received far more attention.
