Re: Mittau, Mitau, Mitawa, Mintauja or Jelgava?

John,

Interesting. Weil says New Russian Dragoons, but in looking at Nafziger's OOB for January 1814 he has in Borozdin's 1st Dragoon Division, the "Little Russia Dragoon Regiment" brigaded with the Mitau Dragoons under the command of Gernegross (Gerngross?) I believe the Russian cuirassiers (including the Little Russia) were all combined in four cuirassier divisions in the Army of Bohemia...

Was there a New Russian Dragoon Regiment?

Nafizger has the 1st, 3rd and part of the 4th Russian Dragoon Divisions assigned to the Army of Silesia. I could only find the Ingremannland Dragoon Regiment assigned to Wittgenstein in the Army of Bohemia.
