Re: SOJ-7 Musketry Trials and Casualties

In the U.S. studies have been conducted at both "Little Round Top" and numerous Civil War battlefields to actually track the rounds (using forensics and computer graphics) fired in order to see where the heaviest fighting actually occurred on the battlefield. Amazingly many of the rounds found were actually never even fired but dropped on the firing lines by troops in the heat of combat! I did research several years ago in a college graduate (Museum Studies Program) and worked for a time with some budding archeologists at the Manassas (First & Second battles of "Bull Run") where such a study was done. Now if only I could find that thesis paper, somewhere in my college stuff???? Amazing stuff. I'm sure all the farming at the Waterloo battlefield after all these years has unfortunately stripped a lot of this information away. Cheers,

Chris
