I was wondering if one can assist me here in a question on the deployment of a Netherlands brigade in 1815 in a line of battle.
On old maps I Always find such a brigade (at the time composed of a jäger btn, line btn. and a number of militia btns.) deployed from right to left:
Jagers, Line, Militia (the militia by lowest number to the right).
Now, the Netherlands army at the time functioned entirely according to French drill regulations, based upon the experience of the officers.
So is this something that can be confirmed as correct?
BTW, would Howie Muir's essay in "Inside Wellington's Peninsular army" assist me in understanding a bit more for 1815 as well on deployment, etc.?!
