Un hussard, le vieux Blücher, au plus fort sa lutte contre Napoléon, dit le mot qui fixe la situation des deux armes auxiliaires : « Fichez-moi donc la paix avec vos hussards ; contre ce bougre-là, c'est du canon qu'il faut, et beaucoup de canon! »

Old Blücher, a hussar, at the height of his struggle with Napoleon, coined the phrase which records the place in war of the two auxiliary arms : 'Don't talk to me about your hussars; against that rascal it is guns we want, and plenty of guns!'
