It's a Master's thesis. Adequate, I suppose, but I feel I could have saved time by simply reading von Brandt, which I have done, and a couple of the other tried-and-trite memoirs quoted at length.

There isn't anyone on the UNCW history faculty who knows squat about 1789-1815, the reason, I suspect, that so many mistakes went unnoticed.
