I'm new to the Forum but hope you don't mind my diving straight in with a question - i'm researching a book that traces an English officer through the Napoleonic Wars, during which he served with both the Portuguese Cacadores (leading the 5th) as well as alongside the Black Legion with a Captain (later Major) Friedrich Ludwig Von Wachholtz.

I wondered if anyone had come across any source material around these two units that they might be willing to share please? Both seem to be little covered by the books on the period and it would be fascinating to piece together more about these stories.
