Re: Captain Bonnescuelle 25e Leger 1809

I am traveling and do not have access to resources, but would seem almost certain the answer is 7e Léger. You might check that regt's historique.

Problem almost certainly arises from what seems an error of transcription in Martinien on p. 811 as Bonnescuelle is listed under the 7e Léger as being wounded both at 'Thann' and Wagram as a capitaine (p. 404); then wounded in Spain (p. 447) as a CdB in the 25e.

Also: a quick check on Gallica suggests that M. Martinien did not list Dünzling as a separate engagement (not unusual for Martinien to conflate same–day engagements in close proximity this way), but you could verify by looking at other French regt's engaged at Dünzling.
