Tony,

I'm trying to see what can be gleaned by close study of the official trial and interrogation reports (as available online) Unfortunately the most obvious facts are that the police were thoroughly unprofessional and that there were some terrible liars on both sides. Also that the online trial report has some pages missing, but since the main stuff is covered several times I don't know that anything serious is missed.

I'm also supplementing with Hall's 'General Pichegru's Treason', which is good on the English side and 'Last Days of the Consulate', Fauriel/Lalanne for it's facts, not it's opinons.
