Re: La Romana:Manuscits of Hahlo and Lüneburg 1807
In Response To: La Romana in Denmark 1808 ()

Hahlo shows the old uniform of the „2. Bataillon der Freiwilligen von Barcelona“ (which came with the column directly from Spain, under La Romana). The Lüneburg MS brings dito the „1. Bataillon der Freiwilligen von Katalonien“ which came with the second column from Etruria.

Cf. my books on both MS http://books.google.de/books?id=gz_ZkWVbsewC (there I have erronously written "Bataillon der Freiwilligen von Katalonien") and http://books.google.de/books?id=ZsFQLzUL52cC (here corrected).

Please note that the Danish picture source Řrnstrup (from 1808) shows the "modern" blue uniform, i.e. the uniform has changed in the meantime. Cf. www.spaniolere.dk and http://museum.odense.dk

Best regards, Thomas
