Has anyone ever come across a reference of Wellington ordering Uxbridge to make the crucial heavy cavalry charge against D'Erlon's attack at Waterloo?
Presumably they were both near each other and in the immediate area at the time, observing the progress of the attack.
Or was the charge Uxbridge using his own initiative based on his experience ?
